Human Right 2 Water engages at global, regional, country and local levels. Globally, on mechanisms and publications that can be used anywhere; regionally on transboundary issues that affect more than one country, for example our current programme in the Trifinio Region, supporting three countries in Central America; and then in specific national or sub-national projects, such as in Mexico and Kenya.

Our projects are designed to provide systems to improve access to water and sanitation through strengthening of law and policy in line with human rights. We do this through the legal mapping of existing law; a humanrights based approach to stakeholder engagement, to understand local challenges; and the development of human rights based indicators for monitoring and providing a road map to improve access to these human rights.
