Menstrual Health Management and Human RightsWorkshop

Introduction to Menstrual Health Management and Human Rights is a workshop examining the legal and policy frameworks surrounding menstrual health as a recognised human right. Since its formal recognition in 2022, this field has seen rapid legislative development across multiple jurisdictions, making it a timely and important area of study for those working in law, public health, gender studies, international relations, and human rights.
The session draws on comparative legal and policy analysis spanning 30 countries, with particular attention to regional comparisons of good practices, cultural benchmarking, and the pace of legislative reform since 2022. It is designed to be equally valuable for established researchers and for students at all levels who are approaching the subject for the first time. The workshop concludes with an open discussion, providing participants with the opportunity to engage critically with the material and contribute their own perspectives.
