On Tuesday 26th of August at 2:00 pm CEST, HR2W will be participating in a Talkshow event at SIWI’s World Water Week along with IUCN and the Water Research Commission (WRC). This Talkshow explores climate solutions through a human rights lens, highlighting biodiversity as a right and its links to water, innovation, and social, economic, and cultural benefits.

The Talkshow will be moderated by Hajar Yagkoubi and will feature Alejandro Iza (IUCN), Amanda Loeffen (HR2W) and Dr. Jennifer Molwantwa (WRC) as speakers. The discussion will draw on perspectives from the three panellists: Biodiversity, human rights and development. It will consider the economic, social and cultural gains attributed to biodiversity; the technological and innovative approaches that are needed to protect biodiversity; and the connecting link between the human right to biodiversity and the human right to water. The Talkshow will be available both at the event and online.
